What the codes mean

The small print at the bottom of the Born of the Gods card (#153).

153

  • 153Collector number: this card's place in the set list. Main-set cards print it over the set's card count.

Cards from 1998 to mid-2014 print the collector number over the set's card count (like 90/383) next to the copyright line. They have no rarity letter, set code or language code: the set symbol and its colour show the set and rarity.

Rulings (3)

  1. 2014-02-01

If you control more than one Ragemonger, the cost reduction is cumulative.

  2. 2014-02-01

If a spell has hybrid mana symbols in its mana cost, you choose which half you will be paying before determining the total cost. If you choose to pay such a cost with one black mana or one red mana, Ragemonger can reduce that part of the cost.

  3. 2014-02-01

You apply cost reduction effects after other cost modifiers, so Ragemonger can reduce additional costs or alternative costs of Minotaur spells if they include one black mana and/or one red mana.
